Hello world
Jofli's log books
Yorkshire Dales
Saturday 1st March
Arrived at Ingleton, a lovely village in North Yorkshire. I am staying at Lundholme Farm in a cottage that used to be a barn for cow's to live in, it doesn't smell though! Can you see me in the window?

After lunch I went for a walk to Ingleton Waterfalls. It was 4 and a half miles from start to finish! Look at this 'money tree'. I've heard people talk about money growing on trees, is this what they mean?

The waterfalls were great! It was really noisy and I got wet, it was funny, lucky I've got a hat.

Sunday 2nd March
Climbed up Pen-y-Ghent today, it was 694m high! This was a realy big hill to climb, my little legs were aching, and when I got to the top, the wind was so strong that this kind lady had to save me from blowing away. I'm glad I did it though, the view from the top was fantastic.

I had a well deserved cup of tea at the The Pen -Y-Ghent cafe. I found out that if I climb Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within 12 hours, I could become a member of the 'Three Peaks of Yorkshire Club'. Maybe another time, my feet are sore today.

When I got back to the farm it was milking time for the cows. It was really interesting to see how the milk gets from the cow, and onto my cereals.

There was an orphaned lamb, which had to be fed by hand. It must have been thirsty because the milk disappeared really quickly.

Monday 3rd March
Woke up to find a ewe and her two new born spring lambs outside my door. I wasn't sure if they came to say hello or goodbye but it was lovely to see them!

I Had a fantastic time in the Yorkshire Dales, I'm sure I'll be back. The people and animals are so friendly, and the scenery is spectacular!
