Goodwood Revival
Saturday 20th September
I went to the Goodwood Revival today. It was the aniversary of 60 years of motor racing at the track, and 10 years of the revival festival. It was like stepping back in time, everyone was wearing clothes from the old days, and I met a few characters too.

This is Laurel and Hardy, they were famous film stars in the 1920's and 1930's, I still think they're funny today.

Dad's Army was another funny show. It was about a group of men who volunteered to defend their town against war in the 1940's.

These men were hunters in Africa. I sat on the end of his gun, it's a good job it didn't go off!

I saw some 'Mods', they started in the 1960's and ride around on scooters. They've got a lot more lights on their scooter than I have on mine.

These are the hippies of the 70's. They believed in peace and love and lots of bright colours.

This is Murray Walker. He is famous for his commentary on motor racing, he gets very excited.

Jackie Stewart is a famous Grand Prix racing driver. He's scottish, that's why he's wearing his tartan cap.

Can you see the small man carrying the stick? That's the most famous racing driver of all, Stirling Moss. He's 79 now, but he has driven in 525 races.

I had a fantastic day, and it's all thanks to the man on the right, the Earl of March. He owns the Goodwood estate where the revival is held, and the man on the left is Doug Nye, he wrote the book for the 10th aniversary. I'm sure the Goodwood Revival will be around for many more years to come.
