Day Trips and Short Breaks

Monday 5th May

I went to Wales for the bank holiday weekend.  All the road signs were in a different language, and the people there speak Welsh.  I learnt how to say good morning in Welsh, 'Bore Da'.  There was a dragon staying in my hotel too, he looked just like the one on the Welsh flag.

I climbed up Mount Snowdon today, it is 1,085 metres high.  It was hot and sunny when I started, but when I got to the top it was cold and raining, good job I had my hat and scarf.

Just look how high up I am!  I can't wait to get back down and go for a nice swim in the lake.

Monday 26th May

This bank holiday I went to the Green City Days show.  There were lots of stalls where you could learn how to be kinder to the environment.  There was a fun fair, and all the rides were powered by biofuel which is made from plants.

I made lots of new friends, and there were loads of people who wanted to have a photo with me.

 Even a funny looking zebra!

I had a great time in the falconry display.  Can you see the falcon on my arm?

I also saw my friend Theo who was selling Charibags.  These are bags that people use for their shopping instead of plastic ones.  We were both collecting for the Children's Hospital, and my tin was very heavy, so I'm sure there is lots of money in it.  Thank you to everyone who donated.
